Sonija Telles: Director of Sales and Marketing
Sonija Telles was born and raised in the Seattle area and worked in many health care senior settings since 1989. Sonija moved to the Chicago area 6 years ago. The last 5 years Sonija has worked in marketing and sales with seniors. She loves assisting and supporting families who are searching for a senior community for their loved ones.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family and her grandson, enjoys outdoor activities and loves football season.
Deanna Davis: Dining Director
Deanna Davis was born and raised on the southside of Chicago, IL. She is a mother of fraternal twins 1 girl & 1 boy, age 12 years old. She started cooking with my mom in her kitchen at the age of 9. She then began to cook for her siblings at the age of 13 as her mom worked a full-time job. She would always call her grandmother and ask her for recipes if she needed help or if she just wanted to try a new dish. After graduating high school, she started working in the food industry gaining tons of experiences. “Consider me a sponge, I soaked up everything I could from my bosses to my coworkers from customers and their input. What I enjoy most about cooking is the fact that there is always more to learn.” I have been cooking for almost 15 years and I can honestly say I learn something new daily. When someone eats the food that I prepared, and they express their gratitude it’s like a reward for me. I thrive off it, which I like to think has helped create my amazing work ethic. Cooking isn’t just a job for me. When you truly enjoy your profession, it doesn’t seem like “WORK”.” Working here at The Grand at Twin Lakes has been an absolute pleasure. The environment is welcoming and open to change but most importantly the kitchen feels like home.
Evelyn Martinez: Life Enrichment Director
Evelyn is a wonderful life enrichment director. She always has a smile and works hard to create exciting, intellectually stimulating and engaging activities, events and crafts to our residents. She has tons of energy and an artistic flair and brings fun to everything! Our residents love her arts and crafts class and she’s just getting started, we look forward to many fun and engaging moments with Evelyn in the future.
In my spare time I am team mom to both my son Xavier’s high school varsity baseball and varsity football you can read about him often in the Daily Herald. I am also team mom for my younger son Xander’s flag football team. I also take action shot pictures for varsity football and baseball. I spend my summer traveling for both children for their travel leagues. I also enjoy painting and crafting.
Mark Pollacci: Maintenance Supervisor
After years of working in the food business, my interest in maintenance grew after caring for apartment complexes. I liked the work and tasks and never knowing what might happen next. I enjoy working around seniors and helping them as much as possible. I take pride in knowing our building is clean and safe for all those that live here.
I live in the northwest suburbs with the best wife in the world, Wendy. We are awaiting our first grandchild. We love to travel and spend time with family and friends.
